Stapleton joined Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan in July 2025 from Women’s Super League side West Ham after signing a new long-term contract with the Hammers.

The defender has enjoyed spells at Shelbourne, Reading and Sunderland prior to her move to The City Ground.

Internationally Stapleton represents the Republic of Ireland and was named their Young Player of the Year in June 2025.
