Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi said his side must take the positives from the defeat against Huddersfield Town.
Lamouchi made seven changes to his team, including four debutants, but it was a third straight league defeat in West Yorkshire, a result he acknowledged isn’t good enough but he feels that there are things to work on.
Speaking after the game, he said: “Of course it is a very bad result. About the performance, I am not so negative. We should score before, with one of two unbelievable saves from Hamer.
“It is a very bad start, a bad result tonight. We need to find something positive, with many changes and the first time together. We tried to play, to create and unfortunately we didn’t score.
“Then with a half-situation, they score when he was alone in the box. We can’t concede a goal like that, to leave the opponent alone in our box. Our mistakes, they cost a lot. After it was difficult to try to come back into the game.
“The players tried, we tried to play and we created but it is a bad result.”
With another defeat on the board, Lamouchi knows that The Reds must believe in themselves more as they await their first points of the season.
He said: “Next week we have an important game to play before the international break. We need to find the positive things and to say to the players, of course the result is negative and not good for us, but we need to believe in ourselves.
“We need to believe we can score and believe we can play much better but we don’t have the time.”
