Joe Worrall wants Nottingham Forest to continue their consistency in the league as they head to Reading tomorrow.
Forest have picked up three consecutive victories and Worrall wants to continue that form as they head to the Madejski Stadium for a tough match against the in-form Royals.
He said: “We have been consistent in the last three games. We were perhaps unlucky with some of the performances before then, but a lot of hard work goes into the festive period.
“Not that fans should feel sorry for us or anything, but it is tough. We have three games in the week, you look forward to the next game, then you have a two-day break and then another one.
“We did really well, we are one of the in-form teams in the league so it is looking good at the moment.”
He added: “Reading are the most in-form team in the league. Obviously, we have done well in the last few games but they are flying, they have got some good players but so have we so the focus is more on us.
“Reading are a good side. They have done well and have been a strong team in the Championship over the last few years so it is set up for a good game.”
With the season heading into the second half, Worrall knows that Forest are in with a shout of a top-six finish and feels that the quality is there in the squad to mount a challenge for promotion.
He said: “We are right in the mix, which is what we wanted right at the start of the season. I don’t think we have overachieved, we have a great squad and the manager has done really well since he came in.
“We have got the mix right, in the games, with the lads who have played and everyone is very content.
“We have a good squad mentality at the moment, we have that game in hand and if we can win a couple of games then we can be looking up the league.”
