Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi was delighted by his players' attitude and application in tonight's 1-0 win at Cardiff City.
Lamouchi's men produced a hard-working and battling performance which gave them the platform to take all three points away from South Wales and the gaffer was thrilled by his side's display as they inflicted Cardiff's second home league defeat of the season.
Speaking after the game, he said: "It was a fantastic performance and a great result and I think the lads deserved this victory. Everyone gave 100% effort, everyone took the right decisions and I loved the attitude and the commitment from my players. We deserved all three points and the clean sheet tonight I think.
"In the second half we took a little bit more time, we took care of the ball between the lines and we got the ball out wide. From our first cross of the second half we scored the goal and then we showed a great level of maturity and concentration to get the victory in a difficult stadium.
"To get a clean sheet here you need to defend well and we did tonight. With a little bit more quality of finishing we would have scored one or two more goals tonight but I'm not complaining. I'm so happy with the result and now we move on to another tough away game at Middlesbrough.
"Away games in this league are so difficult but we always say to the players, work hard and respect the gameplan and we will have no complaints. The performance tonight was quite similar to the performance against QPR on Saturday but tonight we got the one goal and it was enough."
