Nottingham Forest Ladies are pleased to announce a partnership with Eastwood Community Football Club that will see all Forest Ladies senior teams play their home games at the Eastwood 3G Arena for the next two seasons.
“I am delighted to have confirmed this partnership with Eastwood CFC”, said Forest Ladies General Manager, Lee Billiard (pictured right alongside Eastwood CFC Chairman Jamie Bennett).
“In our short time at the stadium during the back end of this season our attendances tripled, with a record crowd of over 1,200 at one league game and we have been able to provide a more professional matchday experience for our players and supporters.”
Speaking about the partnership, Eastwood Community Football Club Chairman, Jamie Bennett, said: “Nottingham Forest Ladies came to us around three months ago, when we met Lee Billiard (General Manager) and knowing the professionalism of Nottingham Forest we immediately knew this was a club we wanted to work with”.
With the new partnership, Nottingham Forest Ladies senior first team, reserve team and development team will all train and play their home games at the Eastwood 3G Arena.
Billiard continued: “We wanted to find a home ground where we could also house some of our other teams. It is great that all senior teams will be training on the same pitch they will play on, and every senior team gets to be part of playing in a great stadium environment. We will also be giving our youth academy teams opportunities to play matches and train on the same pitch our senior teams do”.
Eastwood CFC 3G Arena boasts a high quality 3G playing surface, a stadium capacity of 4,900 with a fully refurbished pitch-side bar and function suite.
“The facility is excellent”, Billiard continued. “We were able to do more from a matchday experience standpoint and we have plans to do more next season, taking advantage of the superb facilities Eastwood CFC have at the stadium”.
Forest Ladies saw record attendances across the six games it hosted at Eastwood CFC 3G Arena at the back end of their 2018-19 campaign.
“Forest Ladies have been excellent since they have been here”, said Eastwood CFC Chairman, Jamie Bennett. “We hope they continue to enjoy our facility, the visiting teams enjoy the facilities and playing surface and all the supporters enjoy what we offer on matchdays. We hope that this relationship and partnership will continue and develop”.
Nottingham Forest Ladies will kick off their 2019-20 FA Women’s National League campaign in August.
