Nottingham Forest Women are pleased to announce the signing of defender Olivia Cook ahead of the upcoming FA Women’s National League North season.
Cook joins The Reds from Doncaster Rovers Belles where she co-captained the side throughout their 2018-19 FA WNL campaign. The defender started every game for Belles last season and even found the back of the net twice. She also has tier-two experience under her belt as she played for the side in the FA WSL 2 after moving on from the Leeds United Centre of Excellence.
Cook also brings international experience to the side as she is an active player in the England Under-18s' squad as well also recently a part of the England Under-19 training camp.
On joining the club, Cook said: “I’m so excited to start my journey at this club. Everything about the mentality of everyone here is positive, professional and driven and I’m really looking forward to seeing how far we can push ourselves as a team. The club has a lot of great history and I’m thrilled to be a part of that”
The Reds' eighth summer signing joined up with her side and teammates this week as they continue their preparations for the new season.
