Nottingham Forest Ladies Football Club are excited to announce the signings of Isabel “Izzy” Sullivan, Shannon Weston and Aimee Hickingbotham to the squad. All three new signings are available for immediate selection.
Isabel Sullivan might be a familiar face to some Forest Ladies fans. Born in Nottingham, she started playing for West Bridgford Colts before joining Nottingham Forest Ladies Centre of Excellence at U12 through to U16 level. Isabel enjoyed her first season of senior football at the age of 16, making her first-team debut with Forest in the 2013-14 season against Coventry United LFC, going on to make 16 appearances and score two goals. She continued to make regular starting appearances in the first team during the 2014-15 season and then spent four years in the USA for her education before returning to Forest Ladies.
Another familiar face will be Shannon Weston. Originally joining Forest Ladies in the 2014-15 season after working her way up through the Stoke City Centre of Excellence, she went on to make 24 appearances for Forest, scoring one goal, and went on to make 19 appearances in the 2015-16 season before joining the Army. Shannon returned to football in 2017-18, making 12 appearances and scoring two goals for Derby County before taking time off due to Army commitments and then re-joining Forest Ladies.
Last, but certainly no means least, Forest Ladies have signed Aimee Hickingbotham. Aimee has been signed following a transfer from Doncaster Rovers Belles. Having risen up the ranks at the club playing in their Regional Talent Club (RTC) before joining their first-team squad this season. Born in Lincoln, Aimee will be one of the youngest players in the squad but certainly not lacking in talent or experience.
