Ahead of Sunday’s FA Women’s National League home opener against Stoke City Women, here are five reasons why you should attend...
1 – HOME OPENER…Sunday will see Forest Women open their home campaign at Eastwood Community Football Club. Last season, a per match average of just under 300 fans turned out to support The Reds, a club-high season average and 70% increase over the previous season. This season, Forest Women are hoping to be one of the top attended clubs in the FAWNL, and we need you to help.
2 – NEW FACES…It was a busy summer for Forest Women as they added 11 new faces to the squad bolstering the overall depth, playing experience and quality as the club looks to push on for FAWNL promotion.
3 – NEW HEAD COACH…Andrew Cook, Forest Women's first full-time head coach will take charge at Eastwood CFC for the first time in a competitive FAWNL fixture. An experienced coach in both the women’s and men’s game who is charged with leading the new-look Forest Women to success.
4 – AFFORDABLE TICKETS…With adult tickets priced at £5, children's tickets priced at just £2 per ticket and FREE to NFFC season card holders you are sure to get a great family friendly environment full of high-quality football. Be close to all the action and stay after the game for player meet and greets.
5 – TALENT ON SHOW…. A mixture of experience and youth make up the new Forest Women. Some players have developed from the Nottingham Forest Women junior programme or the Nottingham Forest Regional Talent Club along with more experienced players who have played at the top levels of the FA Women’s football pyramid along with representing their country at international level.
