Toby Edser

Nottingham Forest completed the signing of central midfielder Toby Edser from Charlton Athletic in July 2015 and he has since gone on to make quite an impression at The Nigel Doughty Academy.

A talented playmaker with a strong technical ability, Edser was a key component in the Under 18 side which won the league and reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup in the 2015-16 season.

Edser arrived at the club with a good pedigree having played for both Fulham and Charlton and his intelligence on the ball allows him to dictate play wherever he is on the field.

His performances for the Under 18s earned him a regular spot in Jack Lester's Under 23 side in 2016-17, regularly wearing the captain's armband, and he was also involved in the first-team picture as an unused substitute against Cardiff City, Reading and Birmingham City.
