A proud product of the Nottingham Forest academy, Walker signed a new four-year contract with the club on 2 June 2015.
After starting the 2014-15 campaign as part of Jack Lester's Under 18 squad, the striker made a significant impression and helped to fire them to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup after memorably scoring a hat-trick in the 3-0 win at West Bromwich Albion in the fourth round.
Stepping up a level proved no problem for Walker as he set about making his name in the Under 21s by scoring seven goals in just 13 starts and those performances led to him being handed his first-team debut by Dougie Freedman against Rotherham in March.
Son of former legendary Forest defender Des, the 20-year-old netted his first goal for the first team when he scored the opening goal in the 2-2 draw at Brentford on 6 April.
