Goalkeeping coach Ian Bennett joined Nottingham Forest ahead of the 2015/16 season, leaving Huddersfield Town after five years as a player and coach.

After making his senior playing debut with Peterborough, Bennett moved to Birmingham in 1993 and stayed at St Andrew's for 12 years. He made more than 350 appearances for the Blues, most notably saving an Alan Shearer penalty in the 1999/2000 season and playing in the League Cup final defeat against Liverpool in 2001.

Spells at Sheffield United, Coventry City and Leeds United followed before he joined Huddersfield and played until he was 42, eventually retiring and moving into the role of academy goalkeeper coach in 2014.
