A product of the Nottingham Forest Academy, Zach Abbott had made his way through the ranks at the club to the first team set up at the Nigel Doughty Academy.

Abbott made his Forest bow in the Carabao Cup in 2022 during a Carabao Cup win over Grimsby Town at The City Ground.
