Cafú came through the ranks at Benfica before having spells with the likes of Vitória Guimarães, Lorient, Metz and Legia Warsaw.

The midfielder initially joined The Reds on loan from Olympiacos in October 2020, before his move to The City Ground was made permanent in February.

He has made over 30 appearances for Forest in total.
