Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce Emily Batty and Georgie Ferguson will both remain at the Club for the upcoming season.

The goalkeepers both played a part in Forest’s double winning season in 2024/25, and the Club has exercised the option for one-year extensions for both players.

Batty has made over a century of appearances for Forest since joining the Club in 2021, winning the Northern Premier Division Golden Glove in both of Forest Women’s title-winning campaigns in 2022/23 and 2024/25.

Ferguson signed for the Reds in August 2024 from Birmingham City and featured four times during Forest’s league and cup double winning campaign, without conceding a goal.

The duo secured 21 clean sheets during the 2024/25 season, breaking Forest Women’s Club record in all competitions.

Nottingham Forest Women head coach, Carly Davies said: “We are thrilled that Emily and Georgie have extended their stay with the Club.

“Emily’s leadership and consistency between the posts has been a pivotal part of our success. Georgie’s contributions both on and off the pitch reflect exactly the kind of player we value.

“I am excited to continue working with both players ahead of the new season in the WSL2.”

Forest Women trigger contract extensions for goalkeeping duo
