Cafu loan move made permanent

2 February 2021

Nottingham Forest can confirm that Cafu has now completed a permanent transfer to The City Ground from Olympiakos following his successful loan period.

The Portuguese midfielder has made 15 appearances for The Reds since joining in October 2020 and been a regular starter in Chris Hughton’s side in recent weeks.

The Cafu transfer concluded The Reds' January transfer window business which saw the loan arrivals of highly-rated midfielders Filip Krovinovic from Benfica and James Garner from Manchester United, plus the extension of Antony Knockaert’s successful loan spell from Fulham. Glenn Murray also arrived on a short-term deal from Brighton to add further Championship experience and firepower to the end of the season.
