Match preview: Forest vs Rotherham in association with Football Index

20 October 2020

Check out all you need to know ahead of Nottingham Forest's clash against Rotherham United at The City Ground, in association with Football Index.

Chris Hughton will be in the home dugout at The City Ground for the first time as he looks to build on The Reds' first win of the season on Saturday.

A fine away performance saw Forest pick up the victory at Blackburn and there were plenty of positives to take into Tuesday night's match as the games come thick and fast.

Rotherham have made a decent start to the season since their promotion from League One but suffered a home defeat against Norwich City on the weekend.

From the opposition

Rotherham manager Paul Warne will be absent from the dugout on Tuesday night as he continues his self-isolation after a family member tested positive for coronavirus, but he knows what to expect from Nottingham Forest.

He said: "A Chris Hughton side will always be organised, and as we know about him, he’s a winner. He’s got teams promoted to the Premier League and it is some coup to get him at any club. Obviously, they’ve got Anthony Knockaert in as well now.

"You look at their front four and it’s probably the best in the league. Behind them they have Colback and Yates, so from a team view they are excellent. They have the quality to be in the top six, as they were for the majority of last season. They won at Blackburn at the weekend, which was an excellent result as well, it will be a very tough game."
