Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi was left disappointed as his side fell to defeat against Millwall this evening.
Three first-half goals proved decisive at The City Ground as Lamouchi bemoaned his side’s display.
Speaking after the game, he said: “I don’t know [what went wrong]. The expectation was totally different before the game. First of all, congratulations to the opponent, they respected their plan. They were strong and their impact was important.
“To be realistic, we showed our limit. When you are not all at the top for the team, it is difficult. Tonight, we gave them the possibility to kill us, and after the first goal and the second immediately after, we cannot do that, especially at home.
“We can try and sometimes take a risk but at the end with only two or three shots on target, we didn’t deserve any more.
“The approach to the game was good but the beginning of the game was not so good. It was totally wrong and for me, we probably showed our limit.
“We are now in March, after eight months the players have shown a lot of effort and are probably tired. When you are tired, you need to play more compact and more simple, that is it. We are not a different team, we are not different players. We just need to focus on our performance and to play simple.”
