The draw ended a run of three straight defeat's for Chris Hughton's side, with plenty of positives to take with them to the Madejski Stadium.

Reading started the season in fine form, winning seven of their opening eight matches, then followed that up with four successive defeats. Two draws and a win since have seen them get back on track as they aim to mount a top-six challenge.

The Royals will be backed by up to 2,000 fans on Saturday, as Forest take part in their first match since March with fans in attendance.

From the opposition

Reading manager Veljko Paunovic was frustrated with his side's midweek draw at Sheffield Wednesday and hopes to use that as motivation for when they play in front of their own fans on Saturday.

Speaking after the match at Hillsbrough, he said: "We have to embrace the new momentum we are creating with the team. A win today woud have helped volumes, but instead it is a small point and a step towards where we want to go.

"We will use the anger and disappointment to bounce back and channel it into much needed energy for when we play next in front of our fans, finally, and we want to be in the best possible shape for our fans on Saturday.

"We are building a strong identity and a winning mentality - something we need to have throughout the whole season. We are brave, we are courageous and we're going to get ready for Saturday."
