Sow: We have to turn up for the fans

21 September 2019

Samba Sow knows that the whole squad need to show their desire to win for Nottingham Forest when they face Barnsley later today.

The midfielder has made an impressive start to life in the Garibaldi and wants to reward the fantastic supporters with a victory at The City Ground.

He said: "When fans and everybody are happy with the way you play, it always gives you confidence and I just want to give more and more and to keep this up in every game and every training session. I am happy but this is football, I need to keep focused and concentrate on working hard.

"It is good to play in front of the home fans because we all know that they follow the team like crazy. They give everything to help us and support us to win this game and we know that they will be there, so we have to turn up too and that is the most important thing.

"There are no easy games. Every game is a new story and we need to keep in the same way. Everyone is working hard and everyone is trying to show that they deserve to be playing and to do something for this club. We all have to show this on Saturday and then in the next game and the one after that."

Samba was speaking to Forest Review ahead of the clash on Trentside and you can read the full interview in today's edition of the matchday programme.
