Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi was not totally satisfied with his side's performance despite the 1-0 win over Barnsley at The City Ground.
Lamouchi's men came under severe pressure at times in the second half and despite knowing his side must improve their game in certain areas, the head coach was delighted by their resilience and willingness to get the result.
Speaking after the game, he said: "It was a great victory, a fantastic victory. We created a lot of chances during the first half and we should have scored one or two before half-time. I don't know why we started the second half badly but Barnsley were the better side just after half-time and we made a lot of mistakes.
"It was ironic because we scored in Barnsley's best moments of the game and it is a very important result for us. Every game in the Championship is so difficult and it was very tough again today but we showed a lot of character this afternoon. We just need to be positive because we have plenty of time to discuss what was wrong today and how we can rectifiy it.
"We couldn't seem to string three passes together in the second half but, importantly, when we did we scored the goal. The Barnsley full-backs were pushing higher up the pitch and we were able to take advantage of that to get in behind them and score the winning goal.
"We need to do better at home in terms of controlling the game. We have experienced players in the team and we can't accept that we will be pushed back so far into our own half. However, it is still a fantastic three points and if we can win when we play badly, I'm happy with that.
"Last weekend we played very well in Swansea and we won and today we played in a totally different way and won again so it has been a good afternoon for us."
