Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce that one of the UK’s hottest prospects, Brennan Johnson, has committed his long-term future to the club.
Johnson, who has starred for Wales Under 21s while also being eligible to represent England, has penned a new long-term contract at The City Ground.
The attacking midfielder is considered one of the best talents to come out of the club’s academy in recent seasons and has shone in the youth ranks and on the international stage.
The 18-year-old, who has been at Forest since he was eight-years-old, made a breakthrough into Sabri Lamouchi’s first-team squad this season, making his league debut on the opening day of the season against West Brom.
He also featured in the Carabao Cup against Fleetwood Town before a superb full debut in the East Midlands derby defeat of Derby County at The City Ground.
Having been a standout performer for both Forest’s Under 18s and the Under 23s in recent seasons, Johnson has stepped up to senior football and has also progressed with his national side, scoring the winning goal for Wales Under 21s against Belgium in the recent international break.
