Nottingham Forest Under 23s played out a goalless draw against Crewe Alexandra as they preserved their spot at the top of the Professional Development League table.
Brennan Johnson missed a first-half penalty for The Reds in a game of few chances, with Crewe reduced to 10 men late on after Oliver Finney's red card, as both sides had to settle for a point.
Alex Mighten had the game's first opportunity on 10 minutes, with the winger being denied by a good stop by goalkeeper Dave Richards, but on the stroke of half-time the goalkeeper kept things level as he palmed away Johnson's spot kick.
Substitutes Will Swan and Louis Walsh came close with half chances after the restart before Marios Siampanis was called into action to deny Finney.
The Crewe man was then shown his marching orders as the game came to a close following an altercation, before there was still time for Johnson to be denied again by Richards as it ended in stalemate.
