Lewis Grabban said that the Nottingham Forest squad are focused on their own game as they return to action against Wigan on Sunday.
The Reds have made an impressive start to the campaign, sitting in second place ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, and knows that they must keep their eye on the ball if they are to stay up there.
He said: “It is about the mentality and the hunger to get back into the mix of it. We need to try and build on what we did before the break, that is what we will be doing and trying to pick up where we left off.
“We are joint top at the moment and it has been positive. The last batch of games has grown from the start of the season; everyone is really happy and now we need to continue with that.
“It is different challenges, being at the top, and we need to stay up there. Teams want to beat you because you are up there and it gives them extra motivation but our motivation is to stay there and keep progressing.
“It doesn’t really matter if people are paying attention to us or not, we are just trying to concentrate on what we do and take each game as it comes.”
