Nottingham Forest Under 23s' game against Bolton Wanderers will now take place behind closed doors at the Nigel Doughty Academy on Friday (kick-off 1pm).
The pitch at Alfreton Town's Impact Arena has standing water in some areas and the decision has been taken to play the fixture at Forest's training ground instead.
Jimmy Gilligan’s side sit joint-top of the Professional Development League alongside Birmingham City, but have played two games fewer than The Blues.
The Reds drew 0-0 away at Crewe Alexandra in their last league outing back in October, but have since been thwarted with two postponements having been due to play Leeds United and Hull City earlier in the month.
Kieran Hayes was on target the last time Forest played at home as he scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Wigan Athletic just over a month ago.
The young Reds will be hoping they can stretch their unbeaten run to eight games and keep up their fine form on home soil.
Bolton have won just one of their opening nine league fixtures and therefore sit at the foot of the division, six points behind Sheffield Wednesday who lie second-bottom.
Wanderers’ only victory this campaign came in the 4-2 win over The Owls at Stocksbridge Park Steels on 21st October.
