Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi is expecting a tough test when his team make the trip to take on fellow play-off chasers Bristol City on Saturday.
After a two-week lay-off, Forest return to action off the back of successive victories over Luton and Derby before the international break.
Lamouchi praised The Robins, who sit in sixth place, and knows that his players will face a side that possess a talented group of individuals.
He said: “We know that it’ll be tough. I remember their first game of the season, it was against Leeds. A bad start for them, like us at home.
“But they haven’t lost another game at home, not much different to us. We know we will face a good team with good players. The way the manager [Lee Johnson] wants to play is good, and they have picked up good results at home.”
Ahead of a busy schedule, Lamouchi believes it is really important that the preparation is right for each game.
He said: “It is really important for me to prepare my players and my team. Of course with the best possible results, we will enjoy this time.
“We need to focus because we have a lot of games. Don’t use too much energy and we need to immediately think about the next one.
“In this kind of situation, we need to be brilliant in our preparation because when you are facing difficult moments, we know we will face some problems and we need to be ready to face those problems.”
Lamouchi confirmed that Carl Jenkinson, Yohan Benalouane, Alfa Semedo and Michael Hefele have all returned to first-team training – and Michael Dawson could be in the squad for this weekend’s match.
He said: “He [Dawson] will be with us. Obviously we are training tomorrow. He will travel to Bristol. He couuld be in the squad, of course.
“We need to take maximum precaution with our players because our squad is not so big. So we will start from now, the worst time of the season because there’s a lot of games. Next week we will have three games to play.”
