Nottingham Forest Under 23s were defeated for the first time in 10 outings as they were beaten 3-0 by Coventry City in the Professional Development League.
Goals from David Bremang, Trialist and Morgan Williams secured all three points for The Sky Blues in a frustrating afternoon for Jimmy Gilligan’s side.
The Reds began the contest well in the opening ten minutes, but it was Coventry who opened the scoring on 24 minutes. A neat one-two allowed Bremang to slot the ball past Jordan Wright to give his side the lead.
The windy conditions were making life difficult for both sides with Forest struggling to create any clear-cut chances as they went into the break a goal down.
Jimmy Gilligan made his first change on 58 minutes when Josh Barnes came on to replace Josef Hefele, moments before Kostas Megaritis came close to levelling the scores. The forward thundered a volley off the bar which came back down to En-Neyah who could only head the ball straight at the ‘keeper.
The Sky Blues then doubled their lead through Trialist when his deflected shot sent Wright the wrong way. The Reds continued to struggle for the remainder of the second half and that showed when Williams headed in a third for the home side as a weakened Under 23 side were beaten in Warwickshire.
