Match preview: Stoke vs Forest

1 March 2019

Nottingham Forest look to continue their impressive league form and make it five games unbeaten when they visit Stoke City tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).

The Reds overcame local rivals Derby County on Monday night and are in buoyant mood as they look to close the gap on the play-off positions even further.

Victory and results going their way could see Forest climb into the top six as they make their first visit to Stoke since 2004.

Team news

Lewis Grabban remains sidelined for The Reds with Daryl Murphy expected to continue up front.

The Reds have no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to the bet365 Stadium.

The opposition view

Stoke boss Nathan Jones is looking for his side to finish the season strongly as they get set to welcome The Reds on Saturday.

He said: "At no point will we be just looking for next season. We want to win as many games as we can and see where we can go.

"Yes, we would like to win 12 games - if we win 12 games, who knows what happens. Eleven, 10... again, who knows what happens.

"What we have to do is be as positive as we can.

"If we win a certain amount of games it gives us momentum, even if it's not quite achieving anything this year.

One to watch - Joe Allen

The Welsh midfielder is a key component in the middle of the park for Stoke and has chipped in with six goals this season.
