Step up to a March for Men and help stop prostate cancer being a killer

14 June 2019

Prostate cancer is killing one man every 45 minutes. That’s why, in June, Nottingham Forest are supporting Prostate Cancer UK to help fund life-saving research and stop the disease being a killer – and you can too.

Prostate Cancer UK’s March for Men is back this year and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. The charity walks take place in ten locations across the UK, including Nottingham.

Come and join an army of supporters who’ll be marching side by side to fight against the disease. You’ll be able to put your best foot forward over a distance that suits you – circa 2k, 5k or 10k – and raise vital funds to bring about the better testing, treatments and care that will dramatically reduce prostate cancer deaths in the UK. So round up you family, friends and even your dog, pick you nearest event and sign up now!

Karen Bonner, one of Prostate Cancer UK’s supporters who has attended the past two London March for Men events in memory of her dad, plans to attend again this year.

She said: "Prostate Cancer UK's March for Men was a great experience and, for me, very important. The event gave me time to reflect on my dad and his life. I also found comfort in meeting other people who have also been affected by the disease."

It promises to be an unforgettable experience where you’ll meet likeminded people and have loads of fun while your fundraising. So sign up, dig out your walking boots and get ready to march.

The Nottingham event will take place in Wollaton Park on Sunday 23rd June. Visit www.prostatecanceruk.org/marchformen to join a March for Men near you.
