Nottingham Forest’s newest signing Arijanet Muric says first-team football is his ultimate priority having arrived at the club on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper has already made five first-team appearances for his parent club and says he now wants to make his mark as Forest’s main shot-stopper.
Speaking shortly after signed for The Reds he said: “I’m very happy to be here and to spend some time with my new teammates and I hope we can achieve a lot this season.
“I know the Championship quite well, I spent a lot of time watching it on TV last season and I know it’s a really tough league. I’m here to fight for the number-one spot in the team and to make sure I have some game time.
“I’m very excited that the season is so close now. We need to have a strong pre-season to make sure we’re fit and ready for the first game of the season.”
