Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi says he has been delighted by the effort and commitment of his players at the end of a tough pre-season schedule.
The Forest boss watched on as his side drew 2-2 with Real Sociedad last night and Lamouchi says his squad are in really good shape as they prepare for the season opener against West Bromwich Albion at The City Ground next Saturday.
Speaking after the game he said: "It was a good performance against a very good opposition and at least eight or nine of our players played the whole game. They changed systems from the first half to the second half but we played a good game against a team who like to play good football so we are pleased.
"At times we just missed the last pass because we were trying to play too quickly but generally I thought we played well. I really liked the attitude and the performance from my players but we know that next week's game against West Brom will be a completely different challenge.
"We are not totally ready for the first game right now but we are much better than we were two weeks ago. We have a lot to be positive about but also a lot to work on in training this week.
"What I liked was that every player was willing to work hard for his teammates and we must continue to work in this way. The pre-season has finished here tonight and the atmosphere amongst the players is very good and now we must work towards the first game of the season."
