Lewis Grabban said that Nottingham Forest are keen to get all three points on Saturday against Wigan Athletic and bounce back at The City Ground.
Forest lost at home last weekend against Bristol City and Grabban wants to make amends to close the gap on the top six.
He said: "There's always the disappointment [after defeat] but you have to get going again and stay positive. We have to start getting some wins and some results together continuously to close that gap that has been created.
"What has shown over the course of the season is that if you get a run going then you can get back in there very quickly."
The Reds salvaged a 2-2 draw against Wigan earlier in the season with a late equaliser and Grabban knows that the home fans can play a big part in helping Forest to all three points this time around.
"It will be tough," he said. "The last time we played them we didn't really perform well so we will be looking to get a result against them. We just need to get going and battle against their strengths.
"We just want the fans to keep coming week in, week out, support us and be that extra man to create the atmosphere at the club. We all need to keep on going as the season is not over.
"It can be positive if the whole ground is supporting the team, I know it can get frustrating if we aren't winning or making a mistake. It is easy for a player to get back focused after a mistake or a miss knowing that the whole crowd is behind you. It is massive for us and the fans have been good ever since I have been here and hopefully they can continue it."
