Nottingham Forest defender Yohan Benalouane says he feels the squad has all the necessary qualities to achieve promotion to the Premier League.
Benalouane has put in two impressive performances since joining from Leicester in January and says having Martin O'Neill as a manager has had a huge impact on him.
Speaking to iFollow Forest he said: "The manager was a massive part in me joining the club. Lots of people at Leicester spoke very highly of him and I wanted to go somewhere where I could be part of a long-term project, which I think I am here at Forest.
"The club and the city deserve to return to the Premier League. To have a person like Roy Keane join the club this week shows what a massive club it is. Roy was one of my favourite players when I was younger so it is still difficult for me to talk to him because I'm quite shy!
"As players, we have an amazing chance to work with the manager and Roy who have both had amazing careers as players and coaches. All we can do is try our best and show them that their expectations of us are correct."
Further additions have been made to the squad since Benalouane's arrival and the defender says he is excited to get to know his new teammates and help Forest reach even greater heights this season.
He said: "All the new players have been involved at the training ground and they all seem really happy. We have a fantastic group of players with an amazing spirit so it seems like the club is heading in the right direction.
"My experience in Leicester was a good one but it is time for me to write a new story here at Forest. I'm not using this as a stepping stone, I want this to my home for a long time and achieve something special with the club."
