Nottingham Forest Under 18s played out a goalless draw with Sheffield United at the Forest Academy on Saturday morning.
Chances were few and far between for either side throughout, but both had opportunities to grab a winner in the second half.
The visitors nearly edged into an early lead on 13 minutes when Zak Brunt took a free-kick which nearly caught Michael Statham off his line who did well to push it over the bar. Dekel-Daks then lined up a free-kick for The Reds in a promising position but he sent it straight into the hands of Sam Kelly in the Blades goal.
It was a very stop-start contest until Fin Back had the best chance of the game on the brink of half-time as the ball dropped to his feet on the penalty spot, but the midfielder fired it over the bar as the two sides went into the break.
The Reds then made their first and only change when Oliver Hammond came on to replace Sam Greenwood, who was shown a yellow card for a late challenge on the touchline. Forest nearly edged in-front soon after when some good work from Will Swan saw him race into the area before firing in a low cross, which Gabriel Ogunseri failed to direct into the net.
The better of the chances then went to the visitors after they hit the bar with a dinked effort before Sam Ackroyd ran through on goal and shot, seeing his effort bounce off the post and away from danger.
Forest tried to break through the Blades defence with some neat passing in the final ten minutes but either side failed to grab a winner as it ended goalless at the Forest Academy.
