Tyrese Fornah was delighted to commit his future to Nottingham Forest and is determined to continue to improve as a player.
The midfielder has signed a new deal until 2022 and wants to keep learning from the experienced players in the squad as he trains with the first-team.
He said: “I’m over the moon. As soon as I found out everything was sorted, I couldn’t believe it; I was almost in shock but so happy. This is the next step for me, this is the first contract where I feel like I am getting there. I’m not quite there yet, there is still plenty of improvements to make but I am buzzing.
“When I look up to the boys, training with them every day, I see that there is a platform for me there to reach. Now that I am in and around it, I want to stay there and not just be one of the numbers so I have massive aims to play for this beautiful club.
“First-team football is quicker and there are more demands on you from the senior players, but they have been great with me. They are demanding because they know what I can do, it is just about rising to it and being confident in your own ability and expressing yourself at the same time. That is what they expect, to enjoy it because you are young but also show that you can be amongst these players.”
