Matty Cash knows that Nottingham Forest need to show a reaction when they take to the pitch against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The Reds were beaten at home by Sheffield Wednesday last weekend and Cash knows that everyone needs to remain positive and put things right.
He said: “I have played in this league for four years and there is always a spell in the season, you are not going to win every game and there are always going to be blips, you just try to have fewer blips.
“Against Middlesbrough we are 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go, we have to see that off, and against Millwall we are a goal up with two minutes to play and we have to see that off as well. Then obviously the result at the weekend.
“We have got a fantastic team, a great manager, great staff and great fans and we have to stay together and remain positive. It is a long season and we are only two or three points from third place. If you look at Preston, they lost four games in a row then got a win and are sitting in third, that is how mad the league is.
“You can’t get too low and when you win you can’t get too high, you just have to keep going.”
Huddersfield have turned their form around since the appointment of Danny Cowley as manager and Cash is expecting a difficult match this weekend.
He said: “It will be a tough test, since their new manager has come in they have picked up the results. It is always a tough game there, they came down from the Premier League last season so we know they have quality.
“We are going to go there and show everyone that we are still here and ready to go again despite our form.
“It is massive for us to get a result, we need it. We have just been beaten 4-0 at home, it is not good enough, so we need a reaction and I am sure there will be. This week in training has been brilliant, everyone has been on it and everyone knows that we need to pick it up.”
