Forest bring in Bostock on loan

8 August 2019

Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce the loan signing of midfielder John Bostock from Toulouse.

The 27-year-old Englishman joins The Reds on loan for the duration of the 2019-20 season.

Bostock started his career at Crystal Palace, making his first-team debut at just 15 before signing for Tottenham. He spent time out on loan at Brentford, Hull, Sheffield Wednesday and Swindon before moving abroad.

He played in Belgium with Royal Antwerp and OH Leuven, chipping in with 16 assists in his first season with Antwerp before helping OH Leuven to promotion to the top flight, scoring 13 times and providing 19 assists as he won the Player of the Year award.

A move to France followed as he joined RC Lens, with his maiden season in Ligue 2 seeing him named the division’s Player of the Year. After a brief spell in Turkey with Bursaspor, the former England youth international returned to France with Ligue 1 side Toulouse at the start of last season and made 20 appearances.

Bostock now returns to English football and joins The Reds for the Championship season.
