Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates wants to continue the good home form when Blackburn Rovers visit The City Ground tomorrow.
The Reds have won five of the last six on Trentside and he hopes to continue that against Rovers.
He said: "Everyone in the squad has different reasons to go out and perform the best they can. It is massively important that we take as many points as possible and you never know, until it is mathematically impossible then we will keep fighting for everything.
"We have to make the home stadium the fortress, like any team. So that when teams come to Nottingham Forest they know they are in for a tough game.
"I think we have been doing well at home, especially since the new manager has come in, so we need to keep that up and pick up more points away from home."
Yates wants to get the win to keep up the hopes of making a top six finish, while also repaying the fantastic support for their backing throughout the campaign.
"That is our main aim, to back up all of the massive support," he said. "Having seven sell-outs in the past couple of months is just unbelievable.
"We owe it to the fans, as players, to go out in the remaining five games. We are disappointed that we haven't picked up more points in recent weeks to give ourselves a chance but we owe it to them to give it everything."
