Match preview: Rotherham vs Forest

5 April 2019

Nottingham Forest's hunt for the top six continues on Saturday as they take on relegation-threatened Rotherham at the New York Stadium (kick-off 3pm).

The Reds will be seeking back-to-back wins to keep up the pressure on the teams around them as the race for the play-off spots hots up.

With a win against Swansea last weekend, Forest will be hoping for another three points and ensure they return back to Nottingham with a victory.

Team news

Forest have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to South Yorkshire. Manager Martin O'Neill has plenty of options available to him, with Lewis Grabban making his return to the side last weekend and Daryl Murphy coming off the bench to score.

Tobias Figueiredo and Sam Byram both stepped up their recovery this afternoon, having featured in the Under 23s' match against Burnley.

The opposition view

Rotherham manager Paul Warne is expecting a tough match against Forest this weekend.

He said: "They're hugely motivated at the moment and definitely playing for their manager. They don't play a completely different way to us.

"They have real energy throughout the team and they've got a goal threat whether they play Grabban or Murphy.

"They've got physicality but a bit of class as well.

"We'll go into the game on Saturday really confident we can get three points.

"[Their style of play has changed a little bit but the players on the pitch haven't changed that much. They like to attack and get crosses in."

One to watch - Will Vaulks

A key part of the Rotherham midfield, Will Vaulks will be at the heart of things again for The Millers on Saturday.
