Nottingham Forest manager Martin O'Neill spoke to the media following the 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers at The City Ground.
Speaking after the game he said: "We had some glorious chances out there today and we spurned all bar one of them. They scored with their first opportunity of the game but we should have then gone on to put it out of their reach.
"Ruthlessness in both boxes is very important and we could have won a number of games with the chances we had today but we spurned a lot of them. You can't spend ten or 15 minutes doing really well in a game and then let them score the opening goal.
"There will be a number of areas to address in the summer because I don't want this to become a recurring theme next season. I now most definitely have ideas of the changes that need to be made over the next few months and through the summer.
"We have got some talent here at this football club which needs nurturing and I wouldn't like to see players with natural ability go to other clubs and we will need to supplement this squad with new signings in the summer."
