Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon said it was a good feeling to return to winning ways with the comfortable 3-0 win against Middlesbrough.
Pantilimon mainly had a watching brief as The Reds were in control for the full 90 minutes as they secured a fully-deserved victory at The City Ground.
Speaking after the game, he said: "After a few games in a row when you can't win, then we bounce back and get the three points so it is a big relief.
"We played against a good side. Middlesbrough have plenty of talented, experienced players and we made it easier for ourselves in certain moments of the game. We controlled it easily and it was a case of how many we could score.
"Middlesbrough are one of the best teams in the league so I am happy for the three points.
"In the end it is disappointing that we haven't reached the play-offs so we have happiness today but also sad that we haven't achieved that.
"It is important to have wins in a row. We need to be doing that and that has been missing this season. I hope we can learn from this season and next season we can be more aggressive and use this experience to help us."
