Saidy Janko says he is delighted to have joined a club the size of Nottingham Forest and he can’t wait to get started in the red shirt.
The right-sided defender joined on a season-long loan deal from FC Porto and said it was an easy decision for him to move to The City Ground.
He said: "It feels good, it is a massive club with a lot of history and it has been good so far.
"I love English football and I know the manager has been successful before. He likes to play football and that, combined with the history of this big club, meant it was a no-brainer for me.
"Hopefully I can bring some width into the game. I like to get forward and I can play on the left as well if required."
Janko has played in English football before, wearing the colours of Manchester United, Bolton Wanderers and Barnsley, and has been impressed by the quality of training in his first few days.
"Since I was 17, I have played mainly in England," he said. "I know the league and I am looking forward to the season.
"I've met the team and some of the lads are still on international duty, but I think we have a good group of lads and hopefully we can achieve something.
"The quality is really high and the quality of the exercises as well. I have only been here for a few days but I can already see what kind of system and game we want to play so it has been good so far.
"It is a bit unlucky for me to sign with the international break, but I can't wait to get on the pitch and get going."
