Nottingham Forest suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hand of Norwich City this afternoon, consigning them to their first home loss of the campaign.
Lewis Grabban had given The Reds the perfect start on five minutes with his opener, but two second-half strikes by Timm Klose saw Norwich leave The City Ground with all three points.
Aitor Karanka made three changes to the side which defeated Middlesbrough before the international break, with Michael Hefele, Ben Osborn and Lewis Grabban all coming into the starting line-up.
The Reds came straight out of the blocks at the start and created a couple of early openings, with Joao Carvalho chipping a ball over the top of the defence for Grabban which had just a little too much on it.
But after five minutes the pair got it spot on as Carvalho dinked an exquisite pass over the stranded Norwich defence, allowing Grabban to volley home from 10 yards out.
Forest continued to pour forward in the opening stages; Grabban fired a difficult chance over the bar from a Joe Lolley cross, then Lolley himself received a sublime cross-field pass from Tendayi Darikwa to weave into the area and rattle the crossbar with a right-footed effort.
The Reds nearly let their good start go to waste however, as the visitors came back into the match. Onel Hernandez was played in behind by Todd Cantwell but his shot clipped the far post with Costel Pantilimon beaten, and then Jordan Rhodes prodded wide from inside the six-yard box.
The second half began in much the same vein with The Canaries on top. Pantilimon was equal to Rhodes' long-range strike on 56 but on the hour the visitors found the leveller that their pressure warranted as Timm Klose headed home from close range following a free kick from the left-hand side.
Forest never really got going in the second period and struggled to build any real rhythm to their play which saw them dominate at the start of the match, allowing the visitors to take control of the game.
And centre back Klose was on hand to complete the comeback for The Canaries as he converted from close range following Pantilimon's save from Rhodes' shot.
There was time for Matty Cash to head agonisingly wide deep into injury time but Forest were condemned to their first defeat on home soil this season.
