Nottingham Forest and Framework are delighted to confirm that a record number of people will brave the November cold on Saturday night and sleep out in aid of local homeless people.
More than 300 people have signed up to Framework's annual Big Sleep Out event, which will take place outside The City Ground on Saturday night.
The event, sponsored by Nottingham Building Society, will see participants bed down over night in cardboard shelters in order to raise money to help local homeless people off the streets and into accommodation.
Framework Chief Executive Andrew Redfern said: "We are absolutely thrilled by the amazing response we have had to this year's event. It is heartening to know that so many people – of all ages and backgrounds – have such a strong desire to help homeless people in their community. We look forward to welcoming them on the night and thank everyone who has made this event possible – especially our sponsors Nottingham Building Society and our hosts and charity partner Nottingham Forest."
Nicholas Randall QC, Chairman of Nottingham Forest, said: "When we announced Framework as our charity partner for the coming season we did so with the promise that we would strive to help raise the profile of the charity and together raise significant funds to enable them to continue the wonderful work they do in and around the city. To reach a record number of people taking part in this year's sleep out shows that together we are making significant strides in achieving our goals."
