The 2017-18 season all comes down to one last game for Nottingham Forest Under 23s as they face Bolton Wanderers in the Professional Development League play-off final tonight.
The Reds did remarkably well to sneak into the play-offs on the final day of the season before going on to defeat the southern champions Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.
Gareth Holmes's side now face Bolton, who topped the northern division, in a winner-takes-all clash at The City Ground (kick-off 7pm).
Forest are unbeaten in their two games against Bolton this season, winning 3-1 at the Macron Stadium back in October before a goalless draw at the Nigel Doughty Academy in February.
From the dugout
Gareth Holmes is looking forward to coming up against familiar opposition in Bolton and hopes that as many fans as possible can come down to cheer on the boys at The City Ground.
He said: "We are well aware of Bolton and their strengths and weaknesses so it should be a good game. I am really pleased with the way that the boys have conducted themselves and had that never-say-die attitude.
"We got into the play-offs on the last day which shows that resilience that we are really keen on within the academy, to make sure that we remain focused until the end and the boys have got their just rewards.
"We talk about the Youth Cup and these kind of games, the more profile that we give these kind of games it helps to bridge that gap to the first team. Those experiences that they get in front of fans is great as we can't recreate that in our normal fixtures, so it would be great to recreate that in the final."
Admission is priced at just £4 for adults and £1 for concessions and tickets can be purchased by calling 0115 982 4388 or by visiting the ticket office in-person.
Car parking will be available in the Brian Clough Stand at a cost of £3 but supporters must enter the stadium via Pavilion Road.
There will be full coverage of the game via the club's official social media channels and also in the Match Centre.
