Jack Robinson wants to help take Nottingham Forest to the next level as he has agreed to pen an initial two-year deal at The City Ground.

The defender makes the switch from Queens Park Rangers and he said the ambition of the manager and the board were a key factor in him agreeing to join the club.

He said: "I am delighted. I met Aitor about four weeks ago, we had a meeting and from the first moment I met him, this was the club that I wanted to sign for. He has the same ambition that I do in striving forward and getting this club to the top level so it was an easy decision for me to sign.

"I had been at QPR for four years so it was a tough decision and the fans have found it hard that I have left, but I had to make the right career choice for me. I think this is it, I'm happy to have signed and I can't wait to get going."

The 24-year-old is keen to get out in front of the City Ground faithful having been impressed by the support on his previous visits to the stadium.

He said: "The size of the stadium, the history of the club and the fans have been amazing every time I have played here, so I am just delighted to get going and play some games here and show them what I can do.

"I am happy to get underway and I want to show the fans what I can do. Hopefully we can take this team to the next level and the Premier League. That is the ambition of the club and the ambition of everyone here, including the manager and the owner, and that is exactly why I have signed here, so I am delighted and I can't wait to get underway."
