Diogo Gonçalves says he will work hard every day to ensure that Nottingham Forest achieve the results for promotion after he agreed to join the club on loan.
The Portugal Under 21 international agreed to join The Reds from Benfica for the 2018-19 season and wants to have a successful season on the pitch.
He said: "I am very happy to come here and I am proud to join this club. I hope that my football can improve here and help the club to get the best results as possible. Hopefully the fans can get behind the team and help us to achieve promotion.
"I hope that the fans will recognise that I am very hard working, every day, and that the results of that will show on the pitch on the weekend."
Diogo and fellow new addition João Carvalho have been friends for many years and looking forward to transferring that friendship onto the pitch at The City Ground.
"We have played together since we were 11-years-old," he said. "We have always played in the same team and we know each other on the pitch very well and that has transferred off the pitch too.
"I am confident that we can [achieve promotion]. If we focus on the work, day-by-day, then I am sure that the results will come as is the expectation of the club."
