Aitor Karanka then invited Lloyd to stay and watch the afternoon training session before he met up and chatted to the first-team squad and was introduced to the club’s summer signings.
To round off the day, Lloyd looked on as The Reds opened their pre-season schedule with a 5-0 friendly win over Lincoln Red Imps at the Marbella Football Centre.
