Costel Pantilimon said it was an easy decision to return to Nottingham Forest having signed permanently from Watford for an undisclosed fee.
The goalkeeper impressed between the sticks for The Reds at the end of last season whilst on loan from The Hornets, and is delighted to be returning to The City Ground.
He said: "I am very happy. I really wanted to come back. I appreciate the club and I appreciate the people who did this to make it possible. I want to enjoy the moment and to get what we want – the promotion.
"From day one, I said that it is an honour to work with the manager. I really want to spend as much time as possible working with him. This club as well, I said from day one that the fans and everyone at the club really appreciate me and appreciate my work and showed me true love. This is, in my opinion, the most important thing for a player."
The Romanian international is eager to get out on the training pitch and get his pre-season underway to prepare for the tough Championship season ahead.
"I can't wait," he said. "I am so excited to start again and I am glad to be part of this project again, so I am really excited to be at the training ground.
"Everyone is talking about promotion, but at the same time I am realistic. It is not going to be easy, it is a tough competition and everyone knows it is not going to be an easy game wherever you go, or when you play at home. But we are all working hard; we are trying our best in this pre-season to start well and have good results."
