Brereton goes in search of more international success

16 July 2018

Nottingham Forest forward Ben Brereton is hoping to be part of the starting XI as England Under 19s get the defence of their UEFA European Championship crown underway.

The Young Lions get their campaign underway against Turkey on Tuesday afternoon (kick-off 4.30pm), seeking to defend the title they won in Georgia last year.

Brereton found the net three times during last year's tournament victory, including a brace in the 4-1 win over Germany, and will be hoping to repeat that success this time around.

England start among the favourites for this year's tournament in Finland and have placed in Group B alongside France, Turkey and Ukraine with the top two sides in the group going through to the semi-finals.

England's fixtures will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and are listed as follows:

Tuesday 17th July - Turkey vs England (kick-off 4.30pm)

Friday 20th July - Ukraine vs England (kick-off 4.30pm)

Monday 23rd July - England vs France (kick-off 4.30pm)
