Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka asked his played to finish their week in Spain on a high and they did just that with a 3-0 win against Malaga.
Goals from Gil Dias, Ben Osborn and Hillal Soudani clinched the victory for The Reds in the Marbella sunshine and the overall performance delighted the Forest boss.
Speaking after the game, he said: "I told the players before the game that I would like to finish this week with a good taste in our mouths and they did really well.
"One week, again we finished really well. We finished the first week at St George's Park really well, we finished last week in Nottingham really well and this week has been almost perfect. I like, and we should always, improve.
"It is sometimes difficult because the weather and some of the game, the last day in the stage and it is true, it took us to get into the game more or less 10-15 minutes, but after those 15 minutes we were much better.
"When they changed the team and they were much fresher than us, we were better than them. We scored three goals, we kept the clean sheet, the attitude was good, no injuries so it was good."
Karanka has been pleased with the week in Spain overall and feels that the squad is growing together as a unit.
"Another important thing for me is the atmosphere we have here this week," he added. "On the pitch, the players have been almost perfect and outside the pitch, in the hotel, another thing that surprised me a lot and is very good, because we have been together just two or three weeks and players who arrived just two or three days ago, is that they had a night out and all of them went together.
"For me, the main thing is they are a really good team together inside the pitch and they are a really good team outside the pitch and that is the thing that we want."
